think of it...haven't you notice that anyone of today groups sing with a unique style like queen did?....why if there are still a lot of queen fans haven't they made a band with queen style?
Like queen with a little progressive touch
I probably would, yeah. I like their style! :D
Nope I wouldnt as there is no point in trying to copy them. And besides, I'd like my band to have their own style rather than be constantly referred to as the band that tried to sound like Queen.
Queen/Genesis.....sounds good to me
Simple answer: Yes.
QUeen style.. hmm well i don't think anybody could do Queen. i'd have them as one of my influences, but i wouldn't try to exactly immitate them.
well, i am trying to learn bass, and kind of fiddling with the guitar. if i were to get good, i would like to be know as being better than john. As much as i love anything Queen, john was pretty unambitious.
but deffinetly if i got good enough to have a band, i am pretty sure i would like to be compared to queen.

Here are some Queen-like philosophies I'd like to keep alive in my own band:
Give the audience an experience, not a concert. Your performance is an event. You should include the audience, rather than simply play to them. Don't play all of your songs as they appear on the record. Inject some life into your music, and have spontaneous moments that differ from the recorded versions, so that those who know your music can appreciate that you're trying something different. Being a live band simply does not mean being a studio band playing on a stage.

Yes, it's the only type o fmusic that sounds good!
and I'm not exagerating.

that new Wolfmother tune "Woman" sounds a little bit like Sheer Heart Attack-era Queen
No. I wouldn't make it sound like anybody else. If you want to hear Queen-esqque things, get the Queen albums. If you wanna hear something that sounds like U2, get the U2 albums. And so on.
Hahah... Wolfmother. They sound like crap, that's what they sound like. Is it just me or does the guy go "WOAH YEAH" in a ridiculous voice before most of their songs?
As for 'would I make my band be like Queen'?
I'd love to, but they're not good enough :(

Well I would be influenced by them obviously, so you might hear an element of them in the music. But I would like the band to achieve its own identity, you know?
