A truer word never was spoke! If you want good rap music, you need to look at Public Enemy or even better, Grandmaster Flash or the Sugarhill Gang. Public Enemy personified what rap is supposedly about - social commentary and challenging the system, while the other two just did some cracking feel-good tunes.
Personally I also love Cypress Hill, although I don't know if I'd class them as a standard Rap act, due to the fact that they have some amazing musicians working with them and they never say 'one time'. Listen to the 'Live at the Filmore' album - that band is on fire!
