This "guy" is the prime -minister(just announce his resignation) of Portugal's "brother" country East Timor. Timor is a very catholic territory, something they got from centuries of portuguese dominance. Mari Alkatiri have a problem: he believes in muslism. Other "problem" is that , since east Timor independency from Indonesia illegal ocupation(from 1975-1999 with almost 1 third of the population killed) Mari had fight to timor regain control of the crude in their sea. Australia was the main explorer of that oil, and John Howard and his boys don't like very much Mr. Alkatiri's policies!They armed some former's milicias to put the society and the country into a chaos, or even civil war. President Xanana Gusmão(born. josé Alexandre Gusmão), husband of an australian activist, is the symbol of the resistance against indonesia, but happens to be a weak leader. He was pushed to be president, when in fact his plans were to return to Portugal to spend the rest of his life with new born son, and ending his university studies in Coimbra, his biggest dream. The spiritual East Timor leader, Nobel prize bishop D.
