Ah, i love these topics. So many people spouting off on who they believe is complete and udder crap in the music industry today.

Here's my views on it: all the fake-ass rockers, the ditzy female pop singers and the overrated rappers these days are complete jokes in my book.

Paris Hilton?
She can't sing, let alone act or do anything worthy of human existence. Why are we paying attention to her?

Ashlee Simpson?
She lip-synched on Saturday Night Live, and was booed off the stage at the 2005 Orange Bowl (college football), yet is still a very popular singer. It's almost like they're saying, 'yeah, you lip-synched, but we're still gonna buy your music and go to your concerts, because we're a little *mimicing Carlos Mencia* de-de-dee!!!' It sickens me that she is still a singer.

And another thing: rock music these days has become softer and softer with every passing year. Bands like Dashboard Confessional, Keane, and all these other groups are seen as 'alternative rock'. Listen, alternative rock was very different about 10-15 years ago. Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Alice In Chains, Jane's Addiction, Nirvana, and all those bands were (and still are) key players in the advancement of rock music throughout these past couple of decades. It's sad to see what it has become today.

Rappers? Fuck them. I remember a time in which rapping was all about letting your voice be heard; standing up against moral and ethical standards put into place by the government. Public Enemy, LL Cool J, and Tupac were responsible for making rap as big as it is now. It's not about uprising and rebellion anymore; it's all about big cars, bling, money, bitches, and 'grills', which are the platinum and diamond caps placed on rappper's teeth, turning their mouth into a jewelry store. What the hell is up with that?

As I have been for the last few years, I find my only sanctuary in the music of days long gone. Beatles, Led Zep, Bowie, Rush, and, of course, Queen.
We can only grow the way the wind blows On a bare and weathered shore We can only bow to the here and now In our elemental war - Rush, "The Way The Wind Blows"
Robbie Williams can really rot. That would make me one of the happiest people alive. >:-D
Music today sucks!

All of it

I think I had said this somewhere before, but if they stopped using all synths, it might sound a lot better. Music today sounds so...artificial.

Real music was popular once. I think it can be again. You know, "everything old becomes new again."
