Okay. I'm curious. At the BPI Awards in 1990, was the fact that Freddie was dressed in pale blue while the others were dressed in black intentional (to play down his paleness) or did he just not get the wear-black memo? :) Or did he just not feel like wearing black and went "I'll wear this blue suit"!

well Freddie was the one who was "different" but he probably didn't want to wear black, he's freddie mercury he doesn't have to.

I don't know about the choice of colors, but you bring a good point. Perhaps it was some sort of way to make it less obvious that he was extremely pale.
What I know for sure is that Freddie was wearing around 5 layers of clothing to hide his skinny appearance due to the advance stage of AIDS he was on at the time.
