Germany organizaed this World Cup to win it, like all other countries in the past, some won, other didn't.

It's a shame that Argentina (the footballers and the coach) lost, but for people like some argentinians that insult others and me, i'm happy they lost.

No hemos ganado mundiales, pero el 78 estaba arreglado por los militares (cómo no olvidar el famoso arreglo del 6 a 0 a Perú para eliminar a Brasil)... y el 86 Argentina era el mejor equipo, pero gracias a las mañas de Maradona ganaron, no las necesitaban por cierto.

I don't know, those German players really seem to be on such a trip at the moment, it will be very difficult to stop them. No matter if they are technically good enough. They have an enormous self-confidence, an enormous fitness and really enjoy playing together. Reading the interviews, it seems they are in some kind of trance.
But somehow I begin to dislike the behaviour of some of my fellow German fans... I'm afraid many become more and more arrogant and impolite with our guests, if Germany continues to win. I'm not sure if that's healthy.

But you are right - if there's two places you'll find unhealthy amounts of zeal and disregard for the 'opponent', it's sports and politics. They bring out the worst in people sometimes which is why I pay little attention to either.

And - with my previous post, I wasn't trying to be a wanker, anyone. But I cannot stand people who throw the Nazi word around, it's just not groovy. I tell you what - you guys quit talking about Nazis and I won't bring up the Falklands War. :P
