Hello!
I feel a bit dumb. I never understood if Queenfans don't like Rolling Stone (the magasin) or Rolling Stones (the band).
I ever though it was the magasin, but, some weeks ago there was a Versus Weekend on VH1 and Queen played vs Rolling Stones. Now I have many doubts and I have a little little anti-Rolling Stones feeling. I don't know why, maybe because I do not agree with the message they show in their lyrics.
Do you like Rolling Stones?
I like them. I got into them when i ordered a Paul McCartney CD from the Internet and a Rolling Stones CD was in its case. Some sort of mix up in the ordering or something. But i kept it... and i ended up listening to it.

Roger Taylor said "...No one is as old as Mick Jagger" during the Magic tour.
That was 1986!! He's ancient now!! Maybe he should go on a holiday or something.
"It’s not often we play in daylight, and I fucking well wish we did before, I can see you all now. And there are some beauties here tonight, I can tell you!" ;)
Yes. After all songs like Now I'm Here according to my dad are influenced by Rolling Stones and I like Gimme Shelter and Sympathy for the Devil myself
Oh yes, I really like the Rolling Stones. Among my favourite songs are 'Satisfaction', 'The Last Time', '19th Nervous Breakdown', 'Jumping Jack Flash', 'Time Is On My Side', 'Get Off My CLoud', 'Ruby Tuesday' and 'Brown Sugar'
Yeah I think they're great, in fact I was going to go and see them with my dad at the Phoenix Park but now I hear they've cancelled the gig :(

Maybe it had something to do with Keef falling out of his tree in Fiji?
Oh! I hope he gets better soon...

I agree, that's really a good song. The rest, naah.
John: "It's the one thing I wish I could do - sing."
Sorry, but I think they suck big time. Paint it Black and Don't Stop (is that song called so?) are in my opinion the only exceptions..
Not those are losers who fall, but those who don't stand up.

What a stupid reply!!!
That's the same when people only like boring queen hits such as we will rock you or radio gaga ,
listen to their albums and judge then!

The Stones made brilliant albums with brilliant songs....How much as I do like Queen I can be objective enough to notice that Queen only made a couple of really great records....And even nowadays The Stones are way bigger than Queen ever was...

I love Queen but I am not a silly queenzoner who thinks that Queen is the best thing that music ever saw....
I like them, but I think that Queen should be as big over here in the state as they are!!! I think their a bit overrated, but I do like some of their songs, would consider getting their greatest hits....the song 'Brown Sugar' is a bit offensive....mmmmmmmmmm :<
Loving the pass, cherishing the present, and looking forward to the future
i saw them at the American Super Bowl and it was so freaking hilarious.... Mick was wearing these ridiculous shoes.....so funny...
I just never have understood WHY the Rolling stones were more popular over here in the states than Queen....never understood it...I actually do like the RS, but Queen was way more hella-talented then them....at least in my opinion.

I tell my friends all the time, and people in general, that YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HAVE A GOOD VOICE to have a hit song, album, etc. And I always thought that Mick had/has an okay voice, but it didnt even compare to Freddies!!!!! I'm like, okay, the states reject Queen because their a 'gay band?' THATS THE MOST STUPID SHIT THAT I HAVE EVER EVER EVER HEARD!!!! So what if the lead singer was gay....they were still talented, and just because he was gay, it doesnt make the other three homosexuals!!!! And Mick was bi himself, so I dont understand WHY they excepted the stones, but not Queen????

The States Accepted Queen for a long time, but after the game Queen only made mediocre albums (with some wonderfull songs but no total albums like the early ones) ...except for Innuendo...and Queen never toured the States after '82. Those two things don't help...

See, I never never even understood why they were 'medicore?' They had great songs, on the works, and even hotspaces, in my humble thought...
I seriously always thought it was the gay factor, from what I read at least

I'll never understand that....
