I always wondered when I listen to this part on Queen's Wembley concert.
You know the part where Freddie sings-This World we created? He sings a great job of it,but no one in the audience sang it with him.
Was this song not popular at the time or something? I thought it was a good song. Just wondering why was that.

I think it was because people dont really like those kind of songs. well actually that cant be, because they sing love of my life...
i think its because its not a sing-along type, i guess.....idk......
none of the audiences ever really sang along to it, not as simple to sing as love of my life, where the chorus is always the same
On Sept 30 1984 Leiden impressively sang along to ITTWW, then they sang along to 2 minutes of 39 before singing LOML. Brian's guitar solo is excellent too.
maybe it was too complicated to sing...love of my life is more simpler!

Cool! Thank you!
Cool! Thank you!
Some people go to concerts sometimes to LISTEN instead of singing along to every note and thus not even hearing the actual performance.
ITTWWC is a LISTENING-song.
Someone in the audience should be mesmerized by Freddie's voice and the emotional meaning of the song.
Do you expect 80.000 people to sing along aloud to Who Wants To Live Forever, beer in hand, as well??
Barbarians!

Ah well.. at least he had fun :-P[/QUOTE]
Fred's voice is superb on that, and Spike's synth actually sounds really good as augmentation.
