Am I blind?

This shit is taken from one of the ebay auctions where it was sold by a well known dealer of fake Queen autographs.

According to several people from the Queen office this is clearly a genuine set of Queen signatures and I'm too stupid not to recognize that. Apparently I don't have enough experiences to recognize genuine Queen signatures.

Am I really that stupid and blind? Or did somebody intentionally lie? What am I supposed to do if a Queen member doesn't recognize his own signature, for god's sake?

(There are many more examples that I will soon present on a website but this one was the most obvious one).

This is interesting, I would have to say it would have fooled me, I have Brian's signiture signed by him for me via a business contact, and it looks pretty similar to me! but I'm not expert.

I appreciate that signatures change over time so early 70's signatures look different from 80's ones and I even appreciate that they can even be different between the start of a signing session and the end.
IMO Brians looks close but John's is way off. I think someone in the fan club hadn't been practicing for a while.

I agree with your suspicions that there was a period when the FC would routinely fake the bands autographs but I've found that that happens with most if not all fan clubs.

I've got a classic fake to send you Martin.
All 4 sigs on a Cd not released until 92 with JD's dated '89.

Currently framed and in pride of place in my local Burger King. I haven't the heart to tell them .

Also Jacky didn't notice that John always wrote "Deacon" below his first name, never on one line :-)

This is a really poor fake - I haven't seen a worse one for ages.

99.9% of all autographs on ebay are fake.

Equally bad :)

The faker of The Game signatures at least got Freddie's "M" almost right :-)

I think we should start a website that sells Queen Autographs. We could make a fortune.

Those signatures on The Game insert definately look like they came from the same hand.
The "Y" in Mercury and May is virtualy identical.
Well, all fake autographs were written by one hand :) Also all the Sheer Heart Attack autographs were done by one hand. The fakers don't hire any people to do the job :)

*DOH* ;-)
John's is definatley the worst signature on that. I'm not a massive Queen expert but even I picked that up.
