Same can be said about Krueschev and Brehznev (sp on either?) but there were more conflicts of interest

Stalin was director (is that right?) during WW2. Krueschev came after him and 'de-Stalinized', he also made a lot of efforts to co-operate with President Eisenhower until the U2 incedent; then Brehznev cooperated with Nixon but after the USSR wanted to remove the fundamentalist government in Afghanistan (We should've listened) and President Carter moved against that (a really dumb move)
I dont know if there was anyone between Brehznev and Gorbachev but I know Gorbachev was the last communist leader

The cold war? Nothing special - don't listen to Western music (most of), don't watch Western movies (half of), don't read Western books (few of) and hate USA. To be honest, we didn't care about it. Maybe during Olympic games and some wars on other side of the Earth only...
Gorbachev is very unpopular guy here. Very unpopular. And there are a lot of reasons - for you - it's the good guy who dismantled the Berlin Wall and make smiles with Reagan and Bush, but for us - he's the guy who's ruined the country and lives of 80% Russian population.
And by the way Khrushchev signed a lot of orders to kill people during Stalin days, so his "de-Stalinisation" was... err... I don't know how to say, but he said nothing about his own crimes.

Im looking in our AP US History book and it says Krueschev accused Stalin of war crimes and thats what lead to the talks with Eisenhower
