I always think it is strange that all the sudden when one of the tropys of a band passes away, that then all the sudden everyone starts to feel sad about it and-or has to show how much fan they are.
Pink Floyd earned their fame, yes, Barett gave the name and the start, but the time after him gave 'us' a lot of immortal music too.
Considering his situation (mental and psychical), we can only be glad for him that his life has ended.
Add that to the great music he left, I see no reason to be shocked, sad or so

The album represents Roger Waters life and the troubles he had to struggle. The wall resembles a wall that makes people harmless, yet the wall also represents loneliness and it makes you want to break down the wall and feel free again.
Pink Floyd's music asks a lot of imagination. The albums are pure genious, but if you just listen to the music and the singing without searching for a meaning, it's boring as hell besides the guitar solos.[/QUOTE]

Ah, I love the Floyd! Not the later Gilmour stuff though, really. My favorite albums are Piper at the Gates of Dawn and The Wall. Favorite member is and always will be SYD!!!

I love Floyd, but oddly enough, have never really cared for the stuff they did with Syd.
I think both Syd and David are geniouses in their work with pink floyd.

Me neither... too psychadelic for my taste.
I also think their post Roger Waters work was incredibly underated.
Though not as strong as their previous work, I think there's some brilliant stuff on 'A Momentary Lapse Of Reason' and 'The Dvision Bell'.
