Typical, narrow-minded response. Not entirely true- you should listen to Innuendo -that's if you'vee heard of it. Queen changed in the eighties to survive and generally did it well combining anthemic qualities of early works with generally subtle uses of contemparory synths.

I love Hot Space! I think, personally, all of the songs are great! I dunno why people hate it so much. The people that i know, call it a piece of garbage. It certainly isnt. My reply to them is "have you gone mad"? I love it! I think it is awesome! But i have to admit, it is not Queen's genre. But it worked for them, in my opinion.
hot space was there second commercial album , the first was flash gordon... there music in that time was commercial... maided for money...
The first time I listened to Hot Space, my poor little basement room became overcome by blistering heat. I had to change into a less modest set of pyjamas to accommodate. I decided that the album was entirely to blame and I haven't forgiven them yet.

It's not even a normal Queen album (by normal I mean: an album with songs) but a soundtrack for a movie. Two songs, the rest is music to fit with the movie. And although the music sounds nice, the release as they did it is far from commercial.

Hot Space might not have been a good studio album to some people, but it was seriously great live, ex: action this day, staying power, back chat...great live!!!!!!
I think Hot Space is a very underated album. It deserves some "respect". You have to admit that the songs arent BAD. I think they are awesome! I love all of em...except maybe body lang....it just doesnt work with me......

Unfortunately, I've picked up several copies in the "cut-out" bin over the years. No other Queen album made it there, not even Flash!

I don't know. The Show Must Go On was only a cassette in the US, and it was the first track on the single. And it got a lot of attention since it's on a few of "Best of 1990s" albums... and VH1 plays it a lot on their shows.
