Sorry if dumb Q... are there Sheer Heart Attack demos around?

First of all, sorry if this is posted in the wrong forum, but what with all the "stupid story" threads and "Brian and Roger are HAWT" threads in General Dicscussion, I don't know where anything belongs anymore.

So. As I'm still relatively new to this "collecting" thing, I'm wondering if there are any known demos floating around from the Sheer Heart Attack album.

Hmmm. I really don't mean this to be a "request," either. Rather, I'm curious about something. "Dear Friends" in particular. I'm wondering if there's a demo around of *Brian* singing his own song.

Mostly, I find it curious that Freddie sang "Dear Friends." That's why I was wondering if there was a Brian version floating around. I wonder why Brian didn't sing it on the album...

Well...Freddie had a better sense of legato and a "control" of his voice, which would be well-suited for singing something with only piano accompaniment - and in that range; soft, and with a simple straightforward approach. That's my guess.

Misfire is indeed fake. And some of the other 'demos' are in fact the BBC versions. But there are some unreleased takes (attemps to the backing track) which were played at the last OIQFC Conventions.

By the way, Brian does not sing much in SHEER HEART ATTACK because he was in bed during most of the recording sessions.

Fake, it's from the BBC Sessions.

But those are property of Queen productions.

Nothing from SHA has leaked. The Now I'm Here / Flick of the Wrist / Tenement Funster / Stone Cold Crazy 'demos' are from the BBC sessions and the Misfire demo is just the right or left channel only of the album version.

I don't think Greg has played anything from SHA so far at the conventions - except from an instrumental demo of In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited I believe ?
