Blimey, a new thread by me. Must be something wrong...

Anyways, I assume most people are aware of the Desert Island Discs radio programme; if you're not, it is a simple programme where the celebrity picks 8 pieces of music that they would take with them to a mythical island as a castaway, along with a book and a luxury item.

So, simply pick your choices.

Here's mine:

Book: The Death Of WCW
Luxury Item: Television

8 songs :

Queen - Another One Bites The Dust
Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody
Garth Brooks - Friends In Low Places
Foo Fighters - Learn To Fly
Nirvana - Heart Shaped Box
Metallica - Enter Sandman
The Darkness - Growing On Me
The Beatles - Paperback Writer
Shouldn't it be 8 albums? That's the way Ì know it, at least...

Book: The Ultimate Hitch Hiker's Guide To The Galaxy (the complete 'trilogy in five parts') - Douglas Adams
Luxury item: extensive toolkit

8 Discs:

Al Stewart - Year Of The Cat
Queen - Innuendo
Bob Dylan - Blonde On Blonde
John Coltrane - Olé Coltrane
Pink Floyd - A Saucerful Of Secrets
Jean-Michel Jarre - Equinoxe
Roger Taylor - Happiness?
Eric Dolphy - Out To Lunch

Know that it is hell for me to pick only 8!

My understanding is that it is 8 pieces of music; "Desert Island Discs is a long running BBC Radio 4 programme. It was first broadcast on January 29, 1942 and is said by the Guinness Book of Records to be the longest running music programme in the history of radio. Guests are invited to imagine themselves as castaways on a desert island, and asked to choose the eight pieces of music they would take with them."

But it doesn't matter... 8 songs or 8 albums, pick what you want.
Book- At the moment, I'd take a huge, Queen bio, full of photographs.. I'm obsessed, remember? Besides, I don't really want to reread the books I've already read, and it takes me a while to pick books.

Luxury Item- Hmmm.. LSD! xD I'd be all alone in the island, c'mon. :P
