The Hair-Ok, I gotta ask!

So, on the occasion of Brian May's birthday, I have to ask about the hair.
I assumed along he had naturally curly hair, just very, very LONG naturally curly hair. But there are some old 70's pictures that look like the curl is coming out, and it's more wavy, but still in a 'fro.
People here mentioned perms. Has Brian really been perming his hair for 30 years?!?!? Sheesh, he must have a private hair dresser on salary just to keep that do going for so long.
It does look nice though, and suits him. Only Britsh white dude that can look that good in an afro. I bet he's REALLY glad male pattern baldness isn't in his genes!
Of course it's his real hair! At least when I last ran my fingers through it... OH MY!! It's still stuck to my hand!!!
I think Brian's hair is GORGEOUS!
I know it's real, lol.
I'm asking is it permed or naturally curly?
I think it is naturally curly...im pretty sure it is...lol
There's a somewhat recent (well, maybe May or June) SoapBox entry where Brian has a mini-rant on some press person who referred to his "poodle perm." And then he went on to say that it's his own hair, and that's all he can do with it. He did try straightening once, he said.
"You are only young once, but you can stay immature indefinitely." - Ogden Nash
I think it's naturally curly, if somebody had been perming for over 30 years, i think it would have taken some abuse, lol. I think I remember him saying the only perming he's had done was to try and traighten it out, lol.

actually I have very old pictures and he had sraight hair, and he said he permed his hair.
as it grew longer, but when he was 15 or 16 he wore like a beatle cut, and it was sraight, now as with age it's thinning out a little.

real
but you don't give me comfort and a man's gotta get it somewhere -brian may i'll give you comfort brian XD
Yes as Doeeyes says Brian had a beatle Style haircut, but then in Smile he had his hair an afro, then it returned to straight, you can see it in the 1973-1974 photos(there´s one singing with Freddie and another with a shirt and his hair it´s completely straight)
i saw a picture taken in 1969 i think. it was smile and roger was on it too. it was taken outside the royal albert hall in london and brian's hair is quite short and it is straight.
