We are the champions question

Years ago on a series called The Rock and Roll years they featured WATC video, yet the beginning of this was slightly different to the one that appeard on Flix, are there 2 very slightly different versions of this knocking around? If so does anyone know where both can be purchased?

It was shared on QZ as I remember. And it has to be in the Hub I guess.

I have a VERY good quality copy of this version. I wish I knew how to get it to you all but I'm not too computer savvy. There's even some extra guitar work near the last chorus.

Just noticed that they have a clip of the BBC version of the Top Of The Pops 2 website - it's a segment with a piece of extra guitar and audience handclaps on.

They also have a bizarre performance of Under Pressure from 16/11/81 - the track is played but just with a bunch of dancers prancing about to it!!

cmsdrums check the link in my post above as that probably is the version of Champions you are on about.

And the dancers are most probably "Legs And Co" - the TOTP dancers that used to appear when there was no video or not artists could show up.

Hi Mr Mercury - I'm sure you're right; I was simply posting for info purposes to show that the WATC clip is not 'hidden away' but openly available to view (albeit only a clip) on the BBC website. Lets hope this surfaces one day on an official release!

I also mentioned the Legs n Co clip for completists in case they didn't know that this had been broadcast.

By the way, they also have the Good Old Fashioned Loverboy and Killer Queen clips on there too!
