Is it possible to take "screen shots" off of a DVD you play on your computer? Like while it's playing, can you pause it and do a sort of "right click, copy/paste" thing?? If you don't understand what I mean, I'll try to explain it better...

Yes. Unfortunately it usually won't work with the basic alt + print screen function. You'll need a DVD player such as PowerDVD and then you can click the little camera icon as seen here...

In fact once you set up the options you want, it's even easier.. you can just hit the 'C' key during play and do as many as you want.

Thanks!! Is PowerDVD the only one that has that function or do all DVD players have that?
I know Windows Media Player doesn't...
Nero Showtime does.. I don't see a button for it, but if you right click on the screen it has the option and shows the shortcut is also 'C'.
Nero Showtime is often bundled with Nero products.. if you happen to have Nero of any sort, check the Programs menu under Nero.. and mine is under Nero > Nero Digital.
I don't know about other programs since I haven't used them..

It is possible to screen cap in Windows Media Player, but you'll need to go to your Desktop, Right click > Properties > Settings > Advanced > Troubleshoot and drag hardware acceleration right down. Then when you watch a video you can just press Print Screen and it should work :)
All dedicated DVD players I know support this funcion (Power DVD Win DVD Nero, etc)
For Nero Showtime, you just have to click the arrow pointing left on the left-hand side to get more buttons, such as that to take a screenshot.

It generally won't work with movies, but will rather provide you with a nice black box.
