Why has Queen influenced the emo bands?

That really confuses me because their music is nothing like Queens, especially Hawthorn Heights... I don't like them...
and yet I like My Chemical Romance, The Used and the other emo guys... I can't remember their name...

You can be influenced by any band, and that's not a reason to sound exactly like'em

Miles was influenced by the Beatles after Seargent Pepper's and never sounds like them

That's weird, i never remember Freddie carrying an 'emergency razorblade' just incase things got too depressing!

Maybe they listened to Queen and became depressed because they knew their music would never be as good as Queen and that is why they became emo in the first place!

Uh...who _does_ sound like Queen?

its odd to think how much Queen has influenced the Emos considering Queen were flambouyant and made good music
so i dont really know how the Emos could say their depressing music is anything like Queens

Brian is way too F***ing good for their playing but I still find it amazing, Not much ceases to amaze me though...

I can see that earlier Queen have influenced some Emo bands heavily.....

I don't have a thing against Emos 'coz my best mate is a goth/emo but to be honest, the music they have is not to my taste.
