I think this is really terrible:
The SS Norway, a famous cruise ship, is probably going to be scrapped in Alang, India. She contains 1200 tonnes of deadly asbestos. The workers who are going to scrap her are unprotected to the toxic materials of the SS Norway. They will inhale the toxic asbestos fibers. This could eventually send them to a long, painfull death and their families might die of it too. The workers don't have protection for the toxic asbestos and will inhale them and probably die. Their families could inhale them too, for example when the wife of the worker washes his clothes that are full of asbestos fibers. The children of the workers will inhale them too, when they hug their dad when he comes home from work. This should not happen!!! Please help prevent the scrapping of the SS norway, it will kill many poorly paid indian workers!! The money is there to save her, there is a huge project in Dubai that wants to buy her and use her as hotel/ recreation centre. Please send emails to the following to tell them about this:
