ok i know this has probly been said before but i baught the freddie mercury tribute concert on dvd about a month ago and was surprised to find that only half the concert was included.....on a two disc set (so they had the space) apon investagation i found that the vhs version included the whole concert (so they had the footage) so it seemed to me to be kind disrespectful to freddie to not inclued the whole concert on the dvd

and also kinda half-as_ed

i'm just wondering why they would do that not to mention it was the second half wich is also odd

Quite possibly the greatest rock concert in history and yo can leave it to QPL to f**k it up! Amazing!

it's not QPL's fault they probley would have done it right the problem is that they didn't do it just the mercury phenoix trust did and it seems like they did it just to make money

I thought some of it was down to copyright and band release forms? I think there was some bands which didn't want to have their songs on the DVD because they felt that they gave a bad performance. Although i have heard that it was on the VHS..... soooo what do i know :P

The 'VHS' (also laserdisc, cuz I had it years ago) version wasn't complete either. It was slightly under 3 hours as I recall and still no Spinal Tap ;)

It was still a more entertaining version of the day, I think. Between the two versions released and home recordings I'm sure it's not that difficult for someone to make a 'complete' version.

Trancer is selling through his website a DVD with the MTV version of the show featuring both Spinal Tap's performance and "Innuendo" as well as other extras. Now if someone were to buy that and liberate it for QueenZoners...
