I haven't really collected anything since my teens.
I recall as a kid the first thing that I collected must have been the stickers that accompanied Knight Rider-bubblegum... Then stamps for a while... Hockey trading cards for a very long time. Also various other things, but the interest in the subjects was always rather short lived.
Nowadays I guess the closest I come to proper collecting is when I buy music (mainly cd, hi-def formats and of course vinyls)

When I was a kid, I collected clowns (aren't most kids scared of them) and mugs. I started collecting Coke stuff a few years back, but I got totally burnt out on that.
