Interesting thought

Surely there are many so called "clues" in Queen lyrics that may suggest Freddie was suffering from AIDS, or hinting that he was gay, but then we learn that Freddie wasn't the author of those lyrics.

But what if Freddie just let the other guys take credit for "his" songs? I know it's a strange theory, and I'm pretty sure someone is going to get pissed at me. That's always the case. QZ is such a friendly place, isn't it?

In that interview in Brazil with the retarded reporter, when asked if I Want To Break Free had anything to do with homosexuality, Freddie says that the song was written by John, a happily married man with children.

What if, as unlikely as it seems, Freddie let John take credit for the song?

Another example is TSMGO, with the words "My makeup may be flaking, but my smile still stays on".

Too strange to be true, isn't it?

It's not a really interesting thought, it's just an unfounded theory. And the Brazilian interviewer was not "retarded", she just did not speak English - it was not fair to send her to conduct the interview when she could not understand the answers.

I think it is an interesting thought. And that reporter was annoying. I remember someone saying, either Jim Hutton or Peter Freestone, that the line that really fit Freddie at the time was, the "my makeup may be flaking" one. I think you could be on to something.

Yes, it's an interesting theory but...you need stronger arguments to make such kind of statements. Maybe things are just the way everybody knows and we are just trying to complicate them for no reason.

With many songs.

For example, Was It All Worth It... this seemed to have certain vibe coming from it saying that
Freddie's career was nearly at an end and he, along with the band, were looking back to their fabulous past they've spent together.
