Rockstar: Supernova

Tonight (Tuesday August 8) We Are The Champions was sung and let me tell you, she did a great job of it.

I already added this to the news section but I'll post it here too for discussion and feedback.

Tuesday night, Storm Large who is a competitior on Rockstar:Supernova, sang "We Are The Champions."

Dave Navarro was impressed by her performance "Freddie Mercury is one of the greatest singers of all time, and it is really hard to do any Queen song to their justice, this song was a great choice for you and it shows how great of a vocal range you have.

And the members of Supernova claimed that "Even Queen would have stamped their approval of her performance.

yeah its neat that a singer from my home town of portland, OR is on, but I still find it hard that anyone wants to attempt that song, its almost a crime if anyone besides freddie sings it.

She's from your hometown? That's really cool! I think she is a great singer, true it is almost a crime, but she did a really good job, I mean she's no big name singer and she pulled that off, I was really impresed.

Yes, I SO agree! Storm really did a good job with WATC.....Dilana is my fav though. I must admit though, I did shed a tear when Dave Navarro was talking about Freddie....I always get sad and reminiscent of the old Queen days when I hear WATC. Did everyone see Tommy when he was singing along with Storm - it was magnificent to see!

i thought she did very well.
But its hard when you love Freddie so much doing it.

But did anyone else besides myself and my brother when she sang the part "I've had my shoves and kicks in my face..."
it sounded like she sang "I've had chefs and kitchen my face..." ???

anywho...
never beats the original. But then again when someone else sings it, it never does.

i shed tears too!!! it's true no one can do any queen song justice though... :)
