Some one posted here a bit ago tape from Genesis studio that had Queen-Knebworth on them, looked to be film tapes, I guess no info really came from that.

According to Brian's recent comment on his site, no audio feed was set up at the Knebworth gig (basically a mistake on somebody's part) so it has gone forever.

Ok, correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't QP record ALL shows from 1974 onwards? And isn't most of Live Magic from Knebworth? I have seen some of the Professional footage from Knebworth (put on here in a documentry a few months ago) so why only film parts of it? And also, how would the film crew know what to film to capture the best bits of the concert ahead of time? It makes no sense not to have filmed the whole thing! Just my two cents anyway!

My guess is that the full version does exist, but is NOT 'good enough' for Queen quality control.
That said, I think I also agree that I would prefer a concert from a different era - than yet another version from the Magic tour.

Remember when someone spotted the tapes at the Genesis studio for them to remaster the sound for the single release of "Under Pressure"?
Well, after that i´ve already read Greg Brooks saying that there isn´t the complete recording of the show.
But the guy who remaster the show said that Queen Productions has sent him the tapes from the complete show.
If greg Brooks is indeed right about this, this is probably one of the biggest mistakes in Queen history. No video, and not the complete audio!?
From a fan point of view, i can tell that it´s very frustating!

I'm with Rick on this, there mustb e complete audio, as we have both One Vision and God Save The Queen from the concert, and a lot of the songs in the middle, so i think that means they recorded the whole concert! Hopefully!

Brian is now saying that no video exists because someone forgot to hook up a machine to record it, however a while back Brian mentioned on his site that they DO have the video but it was recorded direct from the screens which meant they could not do an edit, so was not good enough for release.
Maybe they do have the video but dont want it released, so Brian is now putting a lid on it by saying it does not exist at all.

I really believe they have the footage from the big screens because several shots from the big screen can be seen on the freddie tribute-dvd!!Watch the inserts closely and you'll see freddie greeting the audeince in armystyle!!That shot comes from knebworth and was shown on the big screen. Also , there is a compilation of footage from GSTQ and some of it is from Knebworth!! It's easy to see because freddie's pants was different compared to budapest and wembley

Yes, I would like to know that, too. I think the Knebworth footage in the documentaries and FT was taken from the additional footage DoRo filmed. Like for example Radio Gaga on "Rare Live" was not taken from the big screen material, either. I think that the footage for the big screen would not be really usable for a DVD, it was only close ups all the time, who would want to watch this. (me, obviously but that's another story)

Watch the (I think 3th)insert you can see in that clip that freddie greets the audience like they do in the army!then watch your recording from the big screen just after bohemian rhapsody then you'll see it's the same shot. There is good footage from GSTQ available to in the last insert. Watch it closely and you'll see it is put together from 3 different shows.
