okay, thanks!
okay, thanks!
Er, how do we know Roger wrote it? QOL suggests that the "black" barber on Electric Fire is "Arty", in which case Felix doesn't sing on it at all, there's just RT (BVs) and Arty (lead).
So maybe Felix wrote it, or maybe he plays drums in the style of his dad.

The message on the myspace website says:
"A big hello to anyone checking out the Arty and Felix release. Felix here (the one not wearing a picture frame on his head), speaking on behalf of both myself and the man behind the canvas. Hes a bit short on words when it comes to things like this, so Ive been asked to write a little something about the tune in his stead.
My dad wrote it a few months back and the first mix was cut with himself on vocals. We all thought it was pretty catchy and that he had done a good job all round. But, ever the perfectionist, he wasnt quite happy with what he had, and started tinkering with it, suggesting that I cut a vocal for it. Not being particularly experienced in this field, I was very chuffed to be asked, and gave it a go in the studio. I was pleased with the result, it sounded pretty good and was deadly catchy (almost irritatingly so). My dad was happier with this cut too, so he thought he would try and hawk it to Transistor Project and Parlophone as a summer single. They took the bait and here we are
I think it started off as a sort of statement about how women are, paradoxically, both wonderful and incredibly annoying, the force that brings joy to a mans life with one hand and sucks it out with the other all very deep and meaningful, but being a pop song, its not Pulitzer material. Its just a damn good, reggae-lite summer pop tune, with a killer chorus that stays in your head whether you like it or not. Like cold beer and football, it goes well with barbecues and beach holidays. So, here we are. Were both very excited about it, and we hope you like it enough to fork out a few pence on it."
So it looks like Rog did write it.

THATS how we know! :P

You cannot say he is lacking self-confidence...
I heard the preview and it sounded interesting. I found his voice very similar to his father's.
The preview I heard is available in 7digital through the link availabe in the myspace link above. I'm using my laptop, so the loudspeakers are not that good, but it really sounded interesting.
Cheers,

Just heard the 3 versions.
Very nice indeed!

As much as I hate iTUNES, I will be buying this track. It's very good.
I stand corrected, although I would point out that not EVERYTHING Arty says is guaranteed to be accurate.
I've just put a teaser of the main mix on my site.

LOL I had just logged in specifically to say I had realized that: Arty = RT :)
Well, it took me a while, not being a native English speaker and all, but it was great fun to find that out :)
