I gottcha on this one. It's easier to be alittle different on the internet than you are in person, but generally I'm not of the opinion that the differences are vast (except for the predators you find).
The fact that you were hurt by this proves that you have genuine feelings for her. If you get to a point where you can ask for confirmation of her sexual preference, that helps put closure on the physical side of it.
