Question regarding to Love Of My Life

Hi, i´m new here, i´m not a big fan but i was a lot of years ago.

I have a question regarding to the story behind Love Of My Life, who inspired Freddie to write those lyrics?

Did Freddie ever say it was about Mary? I thought it was about one of his cats.

He never said it was Mary. A lot of people just think it was. I agree that Mary was the love of his life but I don't think that song is about her. I don't really think it's about anyone in particular. He probably just came up with it on piano and then the lyrics. The words aren't really specific. A ton of his songs are about love and I doubt they were all based on someone.

I agree with the post above, i dont think it was about anybody in particular, but I do love that song....
