I love Queen and am always happy to hear any show they perform. However, I feel like a few of their songs have been played live enough and could use a break from the set-list next tour. They are:
1. Tie Your Mother Down - Lets go with Now Im Here or something else. This song is WAY overplayed by Brian on tour.
2. Radio Ga GA - Of all the hits they have, why is this one that made every show of the tour? Its a good song, but come on... Lets give it a rest and get Roger to sing lead on a different song. Maybe Heaven For Everyone.
3. We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions - Since their release in the 1970s, I dont think there has been a concert that did not have thse two songs played during the encore
4. Bo Rhap - After the amazing video tie-in with the stage performance played last tour, maybe it would be time to retire it forever as a Freddie song unfit to be covered without him. Otherwise the Freddie video part of it will become gratuitus and lose its impact and coolness.
5. Im in love with my car - Lets swap it for another old Roger song(Drowse anyone?).

I'd lay big money down to say that none of them will ever get dropped from any major tour in the future.

Yes, it would be nice to hear another rocker for a change, but I've never liked Now I'm Here that much. I'd love to hear Stone Cold Crazy, but fat chance of them playing that. Headlong might be a good and realistic substitute though.

I still like the song, although I wouldn't miss it much either. I guess they keep it for the handclapping. I'd rather have they'd drop A Kind Of Magic and play Heaven For Everyone instead of that. Or better yet, Breakthru!

I agree. I always skip these two songs when playing News Of The World. Then again, what else would be fit for encore? Listening to a record is somethign else than being at a concert.

Again, I agree, but I also find it hard to imagine a Queen concert without BoRhap. But if they do it, they'll have to find another way of doing it, I agree.

Oh man, I love IILWMC, so I can't agree with this. Then again, Drowse would be an acceptable substitute. Or, better, Tenement Funster!

Dropping WWRY and WATC? Sorry but that sounds pretty crazy to me. Besides, those two are the most suitable for ending the show.

What's crazy about dropping We Will Rock You and We Are The Champions is that they are ALWAYS expected to close out a Queen show. All that I am saying is that I would love to hear a new encore and give these two songs a break. How can any die hard Queen fan not be bored shitless with these two tracks live by now? Don't get me wrong, they are two of the top 20(if not the top 10) greatest music hits of all time, in my opinion. They certainly are known by all being that they are 1 and 2 all-time in a list of sporting anthems.
I know they are popular and I love them dearly, but wouldn't it be nice to see a surprise where they go back in time and close a show down with 'Liar' and 'In the lap of the gods revisited'?
One last thought on this... Isn't Freddie what makes We Are The Champions so great? Is it that important to keep it going?

The notion of dropping Bo Rhap would quite possibly be unimaginable. I mean imagine Brian and Roger (and paul's for that matter) dilema. Drop the song written by Freddie that made them incredibly famous and incur the wrath of millions of Queen fans or keep it in and try to keep everybody happy? If I were them I would keep it in. The only way they would have got round not playing this song is if they dropped the song in during one of the Crazy / Hot Space Tours. That way fans would have got used to not hearing it live. That said from what I can remember (there probably is more bands that did this) Led Zepp did this and dropped what was then their biggest hit "Stairway To Heaven" from any live gigs and got away with it.
As for what songs they should drop I agree with Zaiga about dropping "Magic". Paul's voice just doesnt suit that song for me.

Queen ar epaying the price for keeping their setlists fairly static in the eighties. Now I'm here should be in along with headlong and even something like Princes deserves a go.
I think Breakthru, Ride the Wild Wind, Headlong, maybe Scandal and I Can't Live with You would be good additions from the later albums.
With Bo Rhap, the best thing would be to do it as a medley again. Remember the Xmas '75 show - Bo Rhap into Killer Queen into March of The Black Queen back to Bo Rhap was a fantastic medley (one of their best IMO). Something like that would really be something special

And bring back Hammer To Fall as the full rockin' version. The slow version is interesting, but those ripping chords at the beginning are just too good (even my girlfriend perfers the fast version, and she used to only be into Spice Girls style music!)
Some of these might not fit PR's voice, but Roger or Brian could probably give them a go

Bad selection of songs i herd all them tracks in Dublin last year and they rocked my world.
yeah, tie your mother down is too overplayed for me, they should drop also fat bottomed girls, another one bites the dust, reachin out, i want to break free, feel like makin love, guitar solo, bad company. well all i would want is to have a new setlist, not the same what they had last two years. songs like headlong, heaven for everyone, a winters tale, let me live and many more should be played.
