Things You Hear on Headphones that you don't hear without them!

Okay. Guys, I know this may sound crazy, but have you ever listened to a queen song on headphones and heard something in a song, a few words that you didn't catch, and you'd have to listen close? Everyone who has the live in Wemley cd, listen to love of my life, and tell me if you can hear this. After Freddie says, I still love you, and the crowd dies down a bit, I can hear him whisper, "It's okay." You have to listen close. At least, I think that's what he says. Can you hear it? And is there anyone else who has thought or knows they have heard something on theirheadphones that they can't hear on their boombox or stareo?

Yeah, I heard that after The crowd dies down, I was actually wondering if anyone else had.

and on Anotherone Rides The Bus by Weird Al Yankovic, I swear you can hear random stuff going on in the background that you cant hear on the CD.

I'm not sure about anything else...

Theres all sorts of things. Even down to Brians laugh before All Right Now on ROTC.

you can hear all sorts of things when you are stuck in your room at the other end of the house (mind you your room needs to be as big as mine: you can only talk about 3 steps around my bed and desk)

I've never heard that. I have to take a look at that one later today (when I'm not at school)

I once heard that there was some sound in middle of Freddie's vocal solo in The Prophe's Song that when you hear it once.. you always hear it when you listen to the song. I didn't wanna look for it because I'm afraid it would get too annoying :P Like the door in Loser In The End but the door is pretty cool :P The sound in Prophet's song is suppost to be annoying.

Anyone heard that one?

Yeah, I discovered it when I was doing a little project on strange unintentional sounds in Queen songs.

I still don't know what the sound in Prophets Song is. But whatever it is, it's recorded at the same time Freddie is singing (since you hear it twice... I think Freddie accidentily touches the microphone stand.

Anyone hear the vocal "duplication" of the bass riff toward the end of The Miracle? There are also little claps or snaps that just aren't quite with the beat.

One of the most annoying things (for me) in a Queen song is the "don't do it, don't do it..." in Don't Try Suicide. It is overdubbed and 'stereoified' EXCEPT for briefly after a "yeah!"

After hearing it in the surround mix, I enjoy listening for Brian singing "nnn nnn nnn...calling you" in the first chorus of '39.

I've listened to that part again, and maybe it sounds like this because it has an edit (I think) in between, if you listen very closely you can hear it.

What noise in The Prophet's Song?

In the Prophit's song, that noise ould be a guitar string, or something like a microphone too close or something. I am not sure what that little humming noise is.

There's a lot of very low volume studio talk in between tracks on the big Freddie box.

I use headphones almost exclusively now for music.

I always thought that sound was John's bass in the Prophet's Song.
