Just read the Paul Stanley statement again - "no KISS tour plans with or without QUEEN are currently in the works'.
If it wasn't at least partly true there would be a categorical denial, and, I'm sure, QP would have put our minds at ease and issued a denial too. However, by using the word "currently" they cover themselves so that if it does happen, they can just say that at the time they were asked, there were no plans and they didn't lie to anyone.
The 'scampi in a basket for £150' circuit is seemingly getting worse and worse in the States (Aerosmith are about to go out with Motley Crue but haven't been to the UK since '97) - thankfully we haven't got that bad over here YET.
Kiss may have sold a lot of records in the US, but then so have N-Sync, New Kids on The Block etc... - Kiss are just a stage show with a few good songs that are now 30 odd years old. Queen are one of the few bands (along with possibly The Who, Pink Floyd, and Led Zep if they did reform) who have the stage show, but also importantly have the musical pedigree and heritage to warrant a tour without it being just a money making exercise with no validity. This tour may be 'made in heaven' for the US, but it would kill Queen's credibility as being a viable force for making any new music and legitimate musically worth future tours, certainly in the UK and probably across Europe too.
Brian has recently mentioned that Q+PR will be heading out again in approx. Spring '07, (possibly in support of some new studio stuff??) so this really does look like it may happen, even though doing this 'Greatest Hits' support slot would almost certainly kill the credibility of any new material. Surely they can't need the money that much?!?!?!

This thread was great to read. If this tour was for real (I know its not), I would still buy a ticket to see Queen+PR. I am not a KISS fan but I would still go. If Queen+PR came on first, I'd see them, check a little of KISS out, stay if I liked it, leave if I didn't.

I absolutely agree with most of everything that "cmsdrums" said. With the exception on the comment about John. As everybody well knows John is 100% retired from the music buisness. The only thing that John's been pissed off about is when Brian and Roger re-recorded Queen staples with second rate pop stars. Why would he cry himself to sleep, or even be flustered over Brian, Roger, and Paul heading into the studio to record new original material? I don't think John really cares about that one way or another, I beleive he just wants to be left to his own devices.
