Queen to tour with KISS next year according to Gene Simmons

In an interview on the Dudley & Bob morning show, on Austin’s Classic Rock station KLBJ, Gene Simmons stated that KISS will take out Queen + Paul Rodgers on the band’s 2007 tour. Gene said that both bands had talked during VH1’s Rock Honors show and – in true Gene style – in the interview he claims: “Queen is playing with us, we’re not playing with Queen.”

Gene Simmons is a grossly overrated musician and performer. I think if you compare the success of the two bands...Queen+PR bar none would be the headlining act. Kiss doesn't have it anymore, why the fuck are they still touring? I like their music but one could tell by watching VH-1 Rock Honors that those guys don't really have it anymore...

As Gene Simmons, et al, commonly known as "KISS" are a bunch of untalented (except in the marketing milieu) douchebags, I highly doubt that they'd headline anything other than a "How To Sell A Lunchbox or Coffin" seminar.

While I enjoyed KISS when I was a kid in the 70s, they've always been Douchebags in Clown Suits, with exactly ZERO talent. I'd rather listen to a full-length record of Q+PR doing an Armpit Fart Sonata than revisit KISS' wretchedly lame catalogue.

The sad thing is that I'm not even an ardent Queen fan these days. . . It's just that KISS, suck. . . They've always sucked. . . And, they'll continue to suck. . . In perpetuity. Of course, they're f'ing amazing at marketing, so good on 'em.

Why would a kick ass band like QPR want to play with a mediocre band like KISS? Could it be the money?

As I wrote at other places, there are many of things that Brian May and Gene Simmons have in common!

I might remind you that the queen shows of (half) queen recently were not that impressive as that they were 20 years ago

One of the differences between kiss and (half)queen is that Kiss never stopped performing

Further both teams did change enough to make it unfair to compare what the leftovers do now with what the original groups did then
