Those who suffered at the hands of the 9/11 bombers or any other terrorist atrocities, may just disagree with you.
I also strongly disagree with the view that Queenzone needs another self-appointed sanctimonious conscience. This is an internet forum (with the RIGHT to respect both freedom of speech & disagree with others - its called democracy) so get over it.
BTW:
Forum = discussion/meeting place.
A-n-o-n-y-m-o-u-s is spelled with two 'n's - not three, P-i-t-y is spelled with only one 't', and T-r-u-l-y has no 'e' in it whatsoever.
Furthermore, it is 'in here' not 'on here'.
Although "I am sorry to say... YOU... have earned MY pitty for YOUR..." poor writing skills, this does not make ANYONE a "poor excuses for (a) human being..." whatever their own personable foibles may be.

Although this is the wrong forum - I will reply here as this is where the original mail stems from.
First: I indeed do respect the community, perhaps this should be re-read, as what I actually said was: "this does NOT make ANYONE a "poor excuses for (a) human being..." whatever their own personable foibles may be".
Translation - the poster (or anyone else in here is NOT less than human).
Second: I also said, "This is an internet forum (with the RIGHT to respect both freedom of speech & disagree with others - its called democracy)".
Translation - We all have the right to agree or disagree, and that I do not need someone coming on here telling me I deserve their pity because I do not subscribe to their particular point of view. That in my mind is neo-Nazism - and NOT respecting the freedom of others. Hopefully, I am free to think what I like, and respect others the same rights and privileges.
Thirdly: There is a world of difference between theft and the censorship of personal opinion. While my opinion may be considered immoral – it is certainly not illegal and to equate one with the other is non sequitur.
Translation – I allow all the freedom of speech to say what they like, when they like, without prejudice or personal bias. I may disagree with it, and I may disagree strongly,
But that is why these forums exist. Nevertheless, I respect such freedoms and baulk at those who come on here spouting otherwise.
In otherwords: respect comes in many forms – and because I disagree with the original poster’s simplistic patronising – this does not make the enemy, however, the most dangerous werewolves are those who are hairy on the inside!
Finally, my spelling is fine thank you – it is my typing skills which are the problem.

Since John S. Stuart is a really good guy and has made good points, and PhilltheThrill seems to be sincere in his call for respect let's call this an end and move onto important topics like Roger's sex tapes and if Brian's guitar is home made.

I am not trying to censor people, or tell them what to say/think/do
i am all for free speach and would never seek to stop people from having that right.
I am just stating that i think the insults/flaming is above and beyond necessary.
say what you want but leave the insults and petty bitching about peoples ; spelling, grammer, beliefs, ideas, and intelligence out of it.
(but i do agree that the people that type messages using made up "internet languages" and abbreviations are really annoying.
bad spelling and grammer leave it alone
STUPID typing ala thk 4 b-ing so kool, u r haxor and l33t ...insult them all you want )

Not picking on your, but you also say you feverishly research Queen. Then I noticed in this SAME FORUM (General Discussion) that you posted the following response:
They WERE hot!!!
Now I don't really want to 'bang' Brian OR old Chubbychops. Particularly as they'd be arrested for rape and I don't want that. Still when time machines are developed I'll go kidnap Rog and Bri from 1974 and let you know of my opinions then.
If these kinds of posts would go away, and not just yours, but all of the teen-age "Queen is HOT, BRIAN is sexy", that would probably be a good way to stop being bullied around QueenZone. There is a "Personal" section for threads like this. "General Discussion" isn't meant for discussing which member wears colored underwear.

I didn't start that 'Brian and Roger are hot' thread. But see that's what teenagers do. This, bizarre as it may seem, is the one place we can discuss Roger and Brian and their 'sexiness' because as their both well over 50 our friends think we're mad when we talk about them in that sense...
Still thank you and I take on board what you are saying :)

is there an actual, formal set of guidelines for what topic goes where? being new here, i got the impression that the "bri&rog is HOT" topic would go here, since it's queen-related, but clearly not serious. you can't blame people for not knowing all the rules and customs(god, a forum with customs? aren't we taking ourselves a little seriously? nyeh) right off the bat. yeesh, the topics have names, just don't click on it. does it really bother you that much? it's okay to point it out, just don't flame people...it's not worth it.
anyway. long way of saying that hysterical fangirls are just as much a part of the fandom(what would beatlemania have been without them?), and they're gonna be here for a while(as long as queen is popular).

I also think that some of these useless topics such as "Brian is hawt" "what are your 5 favorite songs" "Roger coughed...OMG! What's next? A sneeze?" are mistakes made by new posters. It's not REALLY their fault for not knowing what to post here or in the Personal section. Most of them stop posting such topics after a warning. However, some....I won't get into that. I remember on my first day, I was the one that made the Random Thoughts thread on the General section and "what are your 5 favorite songs" thread. But I also have another thing to say.....THIS IS THE INTERNET. AND IT IS ONLY THE INTERNET. IT IS NOT REAL LIFE, IT IS A VIRTUAL "LIFE." Seriously, You can't be on Queenzone ALL DAY LONG, posting new threads and posting in OLD threads. What I mean to say is that people will be people, and you cannot do anything about it. So if someone bothers you, keep in mind, that there is a barrier, whether a timezone, or an ocean or whatever, between you and that person. and just DROP IT! Leave it alone. Don't make a mess of it and embarass yourself. Some people need to take things a LITTLE bit less seriously. I hope I didn't offend anyone, and If I did...please don't slate me... :(
Yes,
I agree very much!!
These people who SLAM
Queen, need to get a life!

under the general section, it says,
"Polls, favourite songs and other fun stuff"
how does "what are your 5 favorite songs" not fit under those guidelines??

It does, but is it really necessary to have one of those every two weeks?

do you really expect people to go 10 pages back to dredge up the last favorite song poll? if you've already discussed it, fine, then just ignore the topic. it's not like it imposes on your time. or you could go to the serious forum. it's not that big a deal.

I understand your point. Absolutely. But some people on these Threads tend to get pissed off when there are like 100 of the same exact threads going around. But I agree with you, nevertheless..
