Lets kick Stereotypes out!!!!!!!!!

I'm OVERWEIGHT, so I MUST have a problem with self control.
I TAKE ANTI-DEPRESSANTS, so I MUST be crazy.
I'm a GUY, so I MUST only want to get into your pants.
I HAVE A BUNCH OF GIRL FRIENDS, so I MUST be gay.
I'm INTO THEATRE & ART, so I MUST be a homosexual.
I'm REALLY INTO MY MUSIC, so I MUST be scene.

That's about it...

I'm a CRIMINAL, so I must BREAK THE LAW.

What about...

I DON'T LIKE SPORTS: so I MUST be a nerd with no social life.

I once postulated that "sterotypes" aren't all "untrue". As people are able to fall into similar patterns of mental distress (shared symptoms, similar conditions), why not be able to have similar "non-illness" patterns ?

I'm not implying that stereotypes are "diseases" or anything, of course. Just as each disease patient has a unique case, stereotypes are a generalisation for a group of people, each one unique. Of course, I think we all already've got that point...

Of COURSE, steroetypes are not the "truth", and probably less reliable than mental disease diagnosis (I don't know of any studies). They do not apply to everyone. But through my life, I have noticed some stereotypes are quite reliable.
