It's the Scrabble story that kills me everytime. All I have to do is think about it :(

The narrator was present in the original film.

What the farting part about and the scrabble part?
From which year is the 'last interview' video ?

It's the 'juke-box' interview, recorded round the release of Great Pretender and the recording of Barcelona album.

So... calling it Freddie's last recorded interview certainly is a bit dubious.

...btw, I had a quick listen before the weekend, and indeed it seems like the DTS sound on the video's indeed is slightly different to the 5.1 sound on the 2000 release. Haven't compared them enough to be certain. It could well sound 'different' because of the DTS-format.
1987. No other info known, as usual... this is of course the last known recorded studio TV interview, not general interview. David Wigg 87 audio interviews / Q Magazine from Dec 1988 / and Mike Read radio interview (1989) all took place later. The TV interview at the Royal Opera House is also there with Caballe.

So that leaves us with the conclusion> the interview is the "last studio interview with Rudi and Freddie".
Again: It's the same mix, but it was kind of remastered. Also, the DTS offers better quality.

Actually if you're anxious, you might give it one more try today. My book shipped from Amazon UK on Tuesday unexpectedly, so maybe it's out Wednesday after all. LOL. I'll probably be getting the book and DVD either Monday or Tuesday. Until then I'm just playing the CDs quite a bit (copies of course).

BTW, does the UK CD (2 disc version) have a slipcase? Just curious because this Japanese version does. It also has a nice obi and includes a lyric sheet :)

It's available as audio file if you look for it. I can't remember where I got it, but I'm sure the Queen hub will have it

Hehe. I remember when we used to share it here. It was like someone would put a link like http://rapidshare.de/files/31645811/Queen_1989_Mike_Read_Interview.mp3 and then this one guy would say "no, no, I want a transcript!".

LOL, like anyone has the time to do that ;)

PS- don't download that or anything. I was just sharing a memory.

That's not last video interview of course - last one was shared on QZ many-many times.

But in the end - DVD is good. Maybe something wrong with me, but it's good release.
