I've been arguing with a couple of school friends about what it's about. My parents say it's about heroin. I agree with them. I know the lyrics are 'Brown Sugar, how come you taste so good/Brown sugar just like a young GIRL should but:
a)How many girls TASTE of anything?
b)Perhaps the 'girl' is just a metaphor? A personification of the drug heroin. (My friends think it's about a girl)and said friends should be thinking outside the box?
So what is the song about?? Drugs, dark coloured girl or something else entirely?

I'm pretty sure Mick Jagger is far from being a racist. He is friends with and adores/idolizes Tina Turner for one thing. And Keith Richards worked with Aretha Franklin on a remake of Jumpin' Jack Flash... I think it's just silly to think they had any racist intentions.
