the night comes down is not actually a demo, just the very same studio version, presented to the record labels along with the other four demos.

THe Night Comes Down is, in fact, a demo. The version on the first Queen album is the demo version because the band did not like the "re-recorded" version they did with Roy Thomas Baker and demanded that the demo be put on the album.

Also, the version of "The Night Comes Down" on the 1971 demos I've heard has a slighty different, but quite noticeable mix than the version on the first Queen album.
