And what new bits were there (apart from the celeb interviews)? A couple of snippets of the Wigg interviews were new to me. Particularly interesting was Fred demanding that it not be reported that he's in a steady relationship with a man, but rather that he's just in a steady relationship.

i watched it and it was fantastic it was only on about 35 minutes or so but i really enjoyed it and will be watching it again on friday but this time on for an hour

I thought exactly the same. That was the only thing I didn't know, and it was very interesting. I thought he'd never tried to hide his sexuality, but had never openly admitted it either.
I don't blame him, but it's interesting.
I'd seen the footage of him in the bath fooling around and acting extremely childlike before, but it still seems a very different image of him. Even if you accept he was shy in private, this is a very different side from what you think of as a very strong character. I guess everyone's gotta let their hair down at times!!!

Watched this last night and was thoroughly embarassed by it.

yeah have to say that i was a little disappointed; they seemed to skip straight from his school days to Queen, which I didn't think was right. plus i have to agree, the ad breaks were squeezed in and frustrating - wish they'd put it on bbc at least, cantstand adverts! nevertheless, it was nice to have a new special dedicated to freddie on the television.

I think it was a bit sleazy. They mainly concentrated on his sex life than anything.
The end was so sad though. That bit where they showed the photo of him behind a lit up cake and that sad music.

I watched that last night I thought how stupid I was to miss CSI over that crap. It was one of the worst TV documentaries I have seen lately.
All in all it was pretty poor. That said I thought that the bit where Freddie was singing "I Want To Be Loved By You" in the bath was quite funny.....

What a waste of good digital TV bandwidth ITV1, 2, 3 and 4 are!

DO NOT even bother getting hold of a copy, it's just not worth it, you'd be better off with one of those 'unofficial DVDs' like 'Under Review' instead.
To make matters worse, ITV are doig a re-hashed version of 'Magic Years' (a 'Freddie version) on Friday 14th Sep.
It concentrated too much on the sleazy side.

It was OK to watch. Anything about Freddie on TV and i'm glued to the screen!!
It was strange, actually. I forgot they were showing it and a few hours before it started a picture of Freddie at Live Aid fell off my wall. I put it back up again and suddenly realised the show was going to be aired shortly. Maybe it was a reminder.

What struck me about the documentary was the fact that queen only ever had two hit singles, bo rhap and we will rock you. Makes you wonder how they ever lasted so long.
