seeing as no one else is nice enough to just give a quick explination i will.
SCC was released the day before queen (brian may and Roger Taylor) were featured on the show american Idol. On that episode all of the contestants were singing Queen songs.
The CD contains all of the songs that the American Idol hopefulls sang, in thier original versions.
the reasons the 2 Songs with Paul Rodgers are on there are:
1) Queen was CURRENTLY on tour with Paul rodgers in the united states and Canada
2) they are from the 2005 return of the champions cd
3) SCC was a pure money grab from Hollywood records, so in order to try and get people to buy what is essentially a sudo-greatest hits, they added these "bonus" songs.

It's a marvelous album, and sure to be a collector's item soon. A fantastic assortment of tracks which truly showcases Queen's talents.
The live tracks with Paul are just an added bonus! I adore this album. Gorgeous artwork, extensive liner notes, beautiful sound. Definitely one of my better purchases.
It even includes the 'Rocks' re-edit of "I Want It All"!

It is a good compilation and Queen continues to have the best liner notes in the business.
Freddie just died! November 24th!

My God, some of the people on this forum have got real anger management issues. It would be nice to see a little patience when somebody asks a question instead of flaming them down. You know who you are....take a chill pill for all our sakes.
