What is Queen's Best Concert Ever?

My vote goes to Hammersmith '79; the band played sharp, Freddie's voice was in the best condition I've ever heard it in, and the set was absolutely GREAT.

Hammy'79 is nice, but the Newcastle shows of the same tour were even more better. Especially 4.12.1979.

Yeah, I too go for Hammersmith '79 as their best especially from the viewpoint of Freddie's condition and the whole vibes including the fantastic rapport between the band(Freddie) and the audience ( I think in the Game tour Freddie's voice was also amazing, though) But as to the setlist, my vote goes to the ADATR tour and the NOTW tour rather than the Crazy tour.

I am torn in my decision, but in the end I would go with Earl's Court '77 over Montreal '81. The song selection of the 'Day at the Races' tour was my favorite set list. Not only that, but certain songs that night(Doing Alright, In The Lap of the Gods Revisited, The Millionare Waltz, You Take My Breath Away, White Man/The Prophet Song) were done so beautifully. They were truly 'ON' that night. It's a longer than normal show as well.

In terms of historical and social significance, Live Aid is without question their best show, because it showed the world that watched how much better Queen is than everybody else.

As for the new tour, I will have to go with my 3rd show(if only their were a bootleg for it *sigh*) April 1st 2006 in San Diego, California.

Sherwood Forest, you are certainly entitled to your own opinion, but I suggest watching other concerts. The return concert to the U.S. had it's moments, and was incredibly emotional, but overall I see it as the worst show from the tour that I have heard. There didn't seem to be any remarkable song performances, and the guitar solo seemed as if Brian was trying hard to get it over with(he has a couple of false stops, only continuing on because the video segment wasn't finished yet.

Do you have the new Wardour version, which is supposedly from the master? It's truly excellent, and better than the old Masterport "remastered" version, which was really just hiss reduction gone too far.
