Hi Queen fans,
I wondered about how many of you out there are gay/bi. I am a bisexual woman myself.
Here are some questions for eveyone:
What percent of Queen fans are gay/bi?
Do gay men and lesbians tend to like Queen more or less than heterosexually oriented people?
How many of you are gay/bi and how many are straight?
I am assuming that the majority of you are straight, but I was just curious. I actually do not know myself, since this is not really discussed openly at conventions.
I get the feeling that a lot of gay guys do not like Queen at all, since they are not into hard rock. But I also know a lot of gay guys who love Queen. On the other hand, I am not sure about lesbians in general.
I am interested in your stories here, so don't be shy!

Ok, here are my personal answers for you, darling:
I´m lesbian, but I don´t know if there´s more gay fans than straights. Some people like Queen, some people don´t and that´s not because of their sexual tendencies. :)

Why should be pigeon holed and categorised for the sake of your homework?

Why would it be? A convention is merely a subsection of society generally, and it is equally uncommon for sexual orientation to be an overt topic of converstion in wider society. And please don't make assumptions - from there you'll go to judgemental, then it's a short step to heterophobia.

Is there any evidence to support this conjecture? Especially as it would seem to rely on you already having the answers to your first two questions, which you obviously don't or you wouldn't have asked them.

I can't really answer your survey questions, except to add that I'm technically gay. But I've been strictly a solo performer for many years. Never in a group and it's been a long time since a duet.

In fact I never met a gay who likes Queen. All the Queen fans I know are straight.

I'm bi 2!! I listen to Queen all the time!! Alot of straight people listen to Queen and alot of Gay's/Bi's/Lesbian's do 2
85% percent of Queen fans are gay/bi, according to the responses that I have received above! 1 person said he was straight, and the other 6 said gay/bi! Could this be true? Is this a representative sample of Queen fans in general?
I may be a Queen fan, but I will not reveal my sexual orientation because it's no one's business except mine. Sorry.
