Freddie wrote that song in Montreux, in 1989-1990. Jim Hutton told about this song at one of the conventions, before the song saw the light of day. He actually announced the existance of the song and revealed its name. I have that "Question and Answer-session" (when he was on stage) on film. Freddie didn't record 2-3 weeks before he left us anymore. His last ever recording was "Mother Love". The demo of that is awesome too.....

And I thought that Dave Richards said that Freddie had called him from Montreux in early November - saying that he was recording. Or I had read that somewhere. Obviously not correct.

Basje is wrong. Winters Tale was recorded after Innuendo. and it was indeed the last song he wrote, Probably somewhere in early 1991
