I love 'Queen II'. But I also love 'Queen'. To me it has an 'elegiac' and almost spiritual atmosphere. Does someone like 'Queen' here like me?

Nice feeling isn't it? When I first heard queenII, I was totally blown away. Loved it straight away.
I really like every single song on the album.
March Of the Black Queen is my favourite,
The Loser In The End is my less favourite song of the album.

Queen 2 is my favourie album, no fillers but ironically it is one of their least commercial with only 7 seas of rhye being known by non Queen fans. Songs like Fairy Fellers, March of the Black Queen and Ogre Battle are light years away from some of the 80's crap the band put out. I'm sorry but their are at least 4 tracks on every album from Hot Space onwards that are just pop rubbish. The tokienesque dungeons and dragon vibe of Queen 2 are fantastic and anyone who loves this album should check out Ronnie James Dio's stuff.
My fav songs on this would have to be Nevermore, March Of The Black Queen, Fairy Fellers, and obviously, Seven Seas Of Rhy.
Queen II is probably their second best effort and one of my personal favorites. I never seems to get the recognition it deserves. Probably the closest they came to a concept type album and all without any dreadful synthesizers. Something that would plague them from Hot space on.
Queen II is interesting, it has Queen's best ever song, the March of the Black Queen, and worst ever song, the Loser in the End, on one album!
I view 'Queen II' as the greatest album of all time by anyone, not just Queen. It's the purest form of Queen's music. Queen I is just as non-commercial/pure Queen, but the lack of studio use limited them one just how much they could do for the album. Queen II has no such limitations, but is full of sounds and instruments. I view the following as pure classics:
Procession, White Queen, Someday One Day, Ogre Battle, Fairy Feller's Master Stroke, Nevermore, The March of the Black Queen, Seven Seas of Rhye. There isn't a track on this album that doesn't work, plus it's the only album to section off the writer's works. It has the most vocals, the most production, and it's energy is blinding. I've heard that the Prophet Song almost made the album. If it had, Oh wow!
The greatest future Queen day for me will be the day I first hear 'Queen II' via DVD Audio DTS 5.1 technologies.
Lastly, I always tell anyone who rates 'Bohemian Rhapsody' as the greatest song ever made, "Dude, you have got to hear 'The March of the Black Queen' because it's better!"

I think March Of The Black Queen is great. But just because something is sophisticated musically and lyrically, doesn't mean it's the best. The simplest of songs can be a hit. Whatever makes a happy, is a best song. I prefer Bohemian Rhapsody because it's more catchy and I actually like the music in it more.

yea, I love both black queen and bo rhap, but bo rhap is an iconic song and the music and lyrics are better than black queen in my IMO.
There's not a single mediocre song on this album. Fucking great.
best album ever, i would love a 5.1 mix of it to be released. if your not too keen on Loser In The End try replacing it with She Makes Me (cross fade it in for a seamless fit)

I agree totally, but the vocals, guitar parts, drums and the lot, all go together in such beautiful ways. To me, it's as good as Bo Rhap. But simple is good as well. My all-time personal favorite is 'All Dead All Dead' which is quite simple.
