sorry - but you gotta be kidding...U2 have been bigegr in america for the last 15 years than queen ever were...so U2 outsell queen easily in USA....and you only have to look at their gigs worldwide to see the global audience U2 have....queen have not had that power since 86....that's 20 yrs ago - and even then it was only a european tour
ask yourself - what did queen actually sell in the uSA in the 80s? and how well have U2 done since 1982 to date?

U2 have sold about 100.000.000 albums. I think they are like the stones nowadays. They sell more tickets than albums!
Take care

I read that a couple of years ago, but i do remember thinking that U2 were selling the same as Queen - 20 years _ 100.000.000 albums!
OK, pick one:

There isn´t a consensus on this, but Queen sales need to be updated too.
For how long do we read that "News of the World" has sold 7.000.000 copies!?- That was 30 years ago. I remember we did an updadte (or tried to) here at Queenzone, but i can´t find that topic. Sorry!

The only one that shocks me is
Chubby Checker.
There's no fucking way that Chubby Checker sold over 250 million records.
The guy had one hit in 1964.
Now I know 'The Twist' was a huge hit, but no way could it have been THAT huge.
I absolutely cannot believe that.

Incase you can't be bothered reading it, according to this, yes, Queen have sold more :)
How the fuck has Alla Pugachova sold over 250 mill albums??? Oh wait, it says "claim to have sold", what a liar! She a horrible Russian singer! I DO NOT believe that she is up there with Queen and those other huge names who are popular WORLD WIDE. I bet nobody (except Anna and myself) know who the hell she is!!! argghhhhh
She sucks ass.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
Freddie could outsing her by lifting a finger ;)
I dunno who she is either..
Alla Pugacheva is the most popular and best known singer in the Soviet Union and nowaday's Russia. It is not a wonder that she has sold more than 250 millions of albums considering that the whole Soviet Union had a population of nearly 300 million in 1991.
It is such a great pity that Russia has a complicated history so that few people outside this country know something about it's Great (with a capital G) culture.

I'm not sure, but I would bet Queen by a mile. That being said, I would also wager the one nation stupid enough to out-purchase the Bee Gee's over Queen would be here in the good ol' US of A. That's not jab at the Bee Gee's, just a jab at U.S. music taste, or lack of. Any skeptics out there need only remember that in 1988 Debbie Gibson had the # 1 best selling album in the country. Does that make my point clear?
