I'd like to see them work together, but I cant see him fronting Queen...Id go see it if it happened, but I cant see Brian going for it on anything other than a one off basis.
Id much rather see him back in the Darkness making new music - maybe then Brian can make an appearance ala The Yardbirds, Meat Loaf and a fair few other artists who's albums he's been on.

i agree...i'd LOVE to see him with Queen...there's just something about Paul that doesn't seem right to me, like, he just doesn't fit.

Steve Perry can no longer sing. That's why he's no longer in Journey (among other reasons -- Neal Schon and Jonathon Cain can't stand him).
Take a listen to Perry on the last Journey cd with him singing ("Trial By Fire") and his last solo cd ("For The Love Of Strange Medicine") to hear just how bad his singing became.

I couldn't agree less. There is something about Paul Rodgers that does fit - and thank God someone's around to give Roger and Brian the motivation needed to continue making great music. Justin Hawkins isn't fronting Queen because, quite obviously, he wasn't chosen by Brian nor Roger. As well, Hawkins doesn't have the magnitude and power of Paul (or Freddie, for that matter). It takes a certain charisma to sing for a powerhouse like Queen. Justin's "charisma" is nothing more than an impression of Freddie Mercury. Paul Rodgers has stepped in and lent his voice, which has given us a fresh take on the Queen catalogue. Let's not look a gift horse in the mouth.

Don't forget that the 2005/2006 Q+PR tour wasn't confirmed or denied by Brian when rumors started hinting at a tour. I recall reading discouraging statements in regard to a new Queen tour on his soapbox, which led me to believe there would be no such tour. On brianmay.com, the US dates appeared to be nothing more than the Meadowlands and the Hollywood Bowl - until official news said otherwise. I think part of Brian's mystique is keeping us fans guessing right up until the end. Reading "there is no new Queen tour" on Brian's site pretty much just leads me to think that there probably is a tour somewhere in the works. Don't let this discourage you, Queen fans!
