It really hurts when a fog machine goes off...

During the school play on Friday I was kicked in the face (on accident) by the Scarecrow (the play was Wizard of Oz, and I was Toto) and then I got burned on the leg by a fog machine! Both incidents were during act II and the audience didn't notice either time. I tried to keep composure, and thought "The show must go on!" (good advice) so I waited 15 minutes before I could check the fog machine burn on my leg and there was a huge blister. Now it's really dark... It could've been worse, though. Anything like this ever happened to anyone?
Ouch :( Sorry to hear about that. The worst burn I ever got was from putting one of my hands on an electric stovetop burner when I was little, because I thought it looked cool. I wasn't playing Toto at the time though.

Only Dorothy for you, eh?

Sounds like the fog machine is faulty or just broken, it should not be hot enough to be able to burn anoyone, it has vents to keep it cool and to not over heat. So if i were you i would stay clear of it! I love knowing my techniacl theatre training :)
And as for that scarecrow, if you have any performances left, then 'accidently' step on him :)
Its unproffesional but what the hey hahaha
I'm not a river or a giant bird, that soars to the sea, an if i'm never tied to anything i'll never be free!
Yeah, that's what I was gonna say.

Are you sure that was a fog machine?
Yes! It really was! It hurt, too. It went off and fog solution blasted (maybe a little too strong a word?) on my leg. My gorrilla suit (yes, I know :) might've had a hole, but my jeans were fine. It might have been broken, but I don't have to worry about it anymore. Last performance was Saturday night. And I thought the Scarecrow comment was funny, but she's on o' my pals, so I don't think I could. AND OW! Bubbles, that probably hurt more than anything else imaginable! To you have a scar? :O
