what is the latest on john?

It seems so strange that he does not have anything to do with Brian and Roger and it is such a pity that we dont hear him play live.

I went to the Dominion theatre in October to see
we will rock you, and I could not believe it when Brian came on at the end to join in for Bohemian Rhapsody. I never thought I would hear and see him play again, what a THRILL!

Supposedly John will be involved with that new Freddie Mercury movie. And yes, I'm sure John has an abnormal fear of crossing or of being in open spaces...for heaven's sake, he was in a rock band! He should have gotten over that fear a long time ago.

Nah, his fear was always there. but he got training against his fears because he was always on the road and in studio's working. But when Freddie died in 1991 he didn't had the chance to go on stage again. So he couldn't become stronger and his fears took over.


and no, he won't be involved in the movie (if there will be a movie..)

John is such a great bassplayer, songwriter and person. I think it's a bloody waste that he doesn't want to fight. But then again, it's his life and he gets to decide. He doesn't owe us anything.

Now that I think of it, you're absolutely right. John probably never will get rid of his shyness. Every concert I've seen video clips of I noticed he never talked...except for The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. Its a shame he feels the way he does, because he's a really nice guy. God bless him...

Agree.....John is a one off. He is indeed missed greatly!

His speech at the beginning of the Tribute Concert was fantastic and so full of emotion, exspecially when you consider how terrified he was of doing it!

Are you sure that you have any right to discuss John Deacon? He is a free man and he can made his choise in contradistincion of Roger and Brian.
O, how terrible, bad, mad man is he! He don't want to betray Queen name and Freddie's legasy. He don't want to sell his silly fans every shit with the sigh - "Brian said that it's Queen so you must bye it". He don't want to made money from everybody and everyone. He don't want to sell Freddie like a peace of butter. He is one man who keep his promise before the end (No Queen without Freddie). He is only one who never took part in dirty films and shows about Freddie's life.
Of cource he is mad. Because noble and normal man seems like mad in our world. Your idols are Hutton and Freestone, so left Deacon in peace -he is not your idol.
