^I'm sure you'll do fine with your solo!
I have several solos in band/orchestra. All of which that aren't that bad...I got lucky this year.

It's voluntary! xD It's this big festival where all of these kids perform for a judge and get ratings(superior, excellent, good, poor, bad). *hude ego time* I have straight superiors! ;P You get a metal for every superior that you get. I have four metals....two for solos, one for a brass choir, and one for performing with my entire band (which isn't optional because my band director won't allow you to ditch the band! xD). This year I'm doing a solo, duet, trio, brass choir, and I'm performing with the band. I hope to get all superiors! :) That'll make *counts*one...two...9 metals! xD
