Actually John listed All Right Now as his favorite single so I could see him doing that on a solo album.

He sings, plays acoustic guitar/electric guitar/ clarinet.
I like the triangle-solo on "Hookers".

Don't listen to all the lies on this board.
"Man in the Shadows" is the only solo album John ever released. Everything else mentioned here is just the result of an over active imagination.

I think you are the one who is lying. I have downloaded an album called Hiding In Public (though it's the entire album as one track, thus I have no info on the song titles), and it is CLEARLY John Deacon singing and playing those songs.
Maybe you just haven't kept up with your Deaconology over the years, which is certainly ironic coming from you!

John is currently working on the album with his newly formed band "WhoBeQ". Rumours are that he's also gonna tour(2007) with these guys!! Could be a great support-act for the upcoming QPR-tour!!! Or the other way around John+"WhoBeQ" as headliners.
The members of his new band "WhoBeQ" are:
John Entwistle
Cozy Powell
George Harrison
The first single is called "Back From a Holiday"

Wait! John plays clarinet! OMG! He's amazing... I knew my sister was just like him! Wait he sings? I thought he hated singing.

Well, according to his interview in BBC1 John said that he didn´t expect such a good reaction from musical stores, and they´re already buying him a silver album.
But he denied the rumours about touring!
Take care
