I wouldn't call myself a fan but yesterday I heard 'Wuthering Heights' and 'Babooshka' for the first time and I was mesmerised. She's so clever it's unbelieveable, such a good singer. Does anyone here like her?

Oh, I'm not a fan... her voice just gets on my nerves, but:
She has incredible control over that voice of hers, it's very accurate and unique - I've heard demos she did and the singing was spot on, even there.
And she's a clever songwriter too, very clever. I do not listen to Kate Bush, because the sound of her voice drives me up the fucking wall, but one must give her credit for what she is.

I agree with you about the voice as far as Wuthering Heights is concerned (keep in mind I've only heard two songs) but that song has become a classic, covered God knows how many times and she wrote it at 15! Possibly one of the cleverest songwriters of the latter half of the 20th century.
