About Johnny Deep in the role of FREDDIE.

i think that it would be a great idea to make a freddie biopic with johnny DEPP in it, but i don't that's it's right to do it.

freddie wanted to keep his whole life private, and even after his death, he intended to keep it private. making this biopic would not be respectful to freddie's decision to remain private. if he spent his whole life trying to keep everything on the down low and many years after his death, there'd be a movie regarding his whole life, then his efforts are put to waste.

Many people here seem to miss an important fact:

It's a MOVIE about Freddie Mercury

NOT a complete chronology of his life, reproducing second by second the exacy look, feel, taste, smell and circumstances of his presence.

I think that Johnny Depp is a great actor and with a little makeup he'll make a great Freddie.

I think that JD will do a good job. He will never be the same as Freddie OBVIOUSLY but if anyone could get within 100 miles I think it might be him. I think he will do well in this role because I don't think he will over act it as many people probably would.

There that is my 2 cents

P.S. I'm sure there are other actors/actresses out there who could do a good job but for the selection they had I think Brian, Roger, and John made a good choice.

I don't give a fuck who plays who... I just want to see the bloody movie. Woohoo!!!!!! :D

In my View Shohreh Aghdashloo is far better for the role of Jer. She is a older oriental woman that, with minor make up work could do the whole role, during the years. She is very pretty too.

I love Johnny Depp...he is a great actor...but I don't think he is the right person to play Freddie Mercury...I could be wrong...I think it needs to be someone a little more in the likeness of Freddie. Johnny just doesn't have the look or the right physique for the part. I don't know of any known actor who would be right. Probaly will bring in an unknown actor. Sure would love to see a movie about him and Queen.
